Acceptable Use & Reporting
Effective and last updated: 20 October 2026
These rules form part of the Terms of Service for Xpostr, operated by Rewrite, CVR 43102990, Denmark. They apply to videos, thumbnail images and text, audio, captions, account use and API requests.
Publish only content you may lawfully share
You must have the necessary rights, consent and authority for every destination. Do not upload, transmit or use Xpostr to facilitate illegal conduct. Prohibited material includes child sexual abuse or exploitation material; illegal terrorist content or incitement to violence; unlawful threats; intimate images shared without legally required consent; fraud, exploitation or trafficking; and copyright or other rights infringement. Do not attempt to bypass restrictions, impersonate another person, compromise accounts, or misuse the reporting process.
Report a concern without sending the media
Use our text-only reporting form or email contact@xpostr.dk. Give the exact location or job reference, explain why you believe the content is illegal, and provide your contact details where required. Do not download, attach, reproduce or forward suspected illegal material to us. A report should contain only the information needed to identify and assess the concern.
Human review and action
Reports are recorded for human review. A report alone does not establish illegality or automatically penalize a user. We consider the information available, applicable law, these rules and any valid authority order. We may seek clarification, restrict a specific video or publishing job, prevent further use of a connected platform account or service account, or remove a retained working file. Restrictions are intended to be proportionate to the circumstances.
We do not routinely watch all uploaded videos or use an automated system to determine whether a video is illegal. Technical checks, such as file type and duration, do not establish lawful use. New temporary videos and covers are not encrypted at rest. Automatic deletion does not make unlawful use acceptable or prevent legally required action. We normally remove working media after each attempt, including failure, with a two-hour active-transfer limit and 15-minute unused-upload expiry. Reports and private case records are retained separately; see the Privacy Policy.
Reasons, outcomes and requests for review
Where we impose a content or account restriction, we provide the affected user with a reason and case reference through the service where practicable, and explain the decision further on request unless disclosure is legally restricted. Reporters who provide contact details can receive the outcome and information about seeking review. Contact contact@xpostr.dk with the reference and any relevant correction to request human reconsideration. No report or appeal attachment is required. This process does not limit statutory remedies or the right to contact a competent authority.
Preservation and authorities
We may place a specific, documented preservation hold where legally required or justified for a safety investigation or legal claim. A held file remains in its existing storage format and is blocked from publishing and new platform download requests. Holds have review dates and remain until reviewed and released; we do not automatically destroy material that must be preserved. Information is disclosed to competent authorities when required or otherwise lawfully justified, including reporting suspected offences where an applicable reporting duty arises. A report to Xpostr is not a police report.
Xpostr cannot reliably withdraw content already received by a platform. Report and manage that content with the platform too. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services; in Denmark call 112. Our reporting inbox is not an emergency service.
Contact for users and authorities
Our electronic contact point is contact@xpostr.dk. We accept enquiries in English and Danish. Authority requests should identify the authority, legal basis, precise target and requested action. We verify requests before disclosing information. Nothing in our terms excludes legal duties or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
